Chronic Fatigue and City Life: Why Has It Become So Common?
Walking around with constantly low energy throughout the day, waking up in the morning without feeling rested, or feeling mentally scattered… Many adults living in big cities apply to healthcare institutions with similar complaints and also have to organize their daily lives accordingly. Since chronic fatigue isn’t tied to a single cause, it’s important to understand the issue correctly.
The Impact of Daily Pace
Heavy workloads, long working hours, nonstop conditions between meetings, or the screen marathon brought on by remote work are among the main factors that strain the body. The effort to stay focused with strong coffees can have the opposite effect toward the end of the day.
The Invisible Burden of City Life
Traffic, crowded public transportation, noise, and never-ending to-do lists actually consume mental energy rather than physical energy. This is called “city fatigue.” Because it makes it harder to sleep comfortably at night, not feeling rested in the morning becomes inevitable.
Nutrition and Sleep Routine
Irregular meals, quickly consumed foods, too much caffeine during the day, and fragmented sleep at night can make fatigue persistent. When medical conditions such as iron deficiency, thyroid disorders, and vitamin B12 deficiency are added to the picture, the problem becomes more complex. For this reason, simple lifestyle habits may be enough for some people, while others need tests and medical evaluation.
