Launch of the "Hand in Hand in Healthcare" Project
Bir Adım Sağlık signed a collaboration agreement with the Turkish Health Foundation to expand the preventive healthcare approach and launched the “Hand in Hand for Health” project.
Bir Adım Sağlık, a public health innovation established to expand the preventive healthcare approach, signed a strategic partnership with the Turkish Health Foundation. As part of this collaboration, the “Hand in Hand for Health” project, a social support model focused on improving access to healthcare in Türkiye, will be launched.
Bir Adım Sağlık, established as a public health innovation with the mission of expanding preventive healthcare services, signed an important collaboration agreement with the Turkish Health Foundation. Through the “Hand in Hand for Health” project, individuals in need, donors, and healthcare professionals will be brought together under one sustainable support model. The project aims to provide regular medical support, home care, and rehabilitation services for individuals experiencing difficulties in accessing healthcare services.
Positioned as a new model of social solidarity, the “Hand in Hand for Health” project is designed to support thousands of people who are unable to access healthcare services on time due to chronic illnesses, home care needs, or socioeconomic barriers. By bringing donors, healthcare professionals, and individuals in need together under one structure, the project aims to reach 10,000 beneficiaries within its first year.
Highlighting that they have been working for many years to bring such an important initiative to life, Ayşe Şengel, General Manager of Bir Adım Sağlık, stated:
“With our long standing field experience in home healthcare services, we will reach individuals in need through our expert teams. Through this project, we approach healthcare not only as treatment, but also through the dimensions of accessibility, follow up, and trust. We are proud to contribute all of our knowledge and operational strength to such a meaningful initiative.”
Speaking on behalf of the Turkish Health Foundation, Foundation President Dr. Murat Balaban (PhD) stated:
“The increasing elderly population and the growing burden of chronic diseases in Türkiye have made sustainable healthcare support models critically important. Through the ‘Hand in Hand for Health’ project, we aim both to strengthen access to healthcare services and to increase social solidarity.”
As part of the project, regular services are planned in areas such as:
Medical examinations and health assessments
Mobile nursing services
Physical therapy and rehabilitation
Home companionship and care services
Health education and consultancy
While the Turkish Health Foundation will oversee the project’s funding and reporting processes, operational healthcare services will be carried out in the field by Bir Adım Sağlık’s expert teams. In this way, a sustainable structure will be established based on transparent donation management, regular reporting, measurable healthcare outcomes, and long term social impact goals.
In addition to reaching 10,000 beneficiaries in its first year, the “Hand in Hand for Health” project also aims to improve chronic disease management through regular follow up and reduce the burden of home care on families.
