Opening and Orientation Program at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing

Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing welcomed future nurses to their professional journey with a strong beginning through its opening and orientation program for the new academic year.

As part of the program, the faculty administration and academic staff provided students with comprehensive information on the historical development of the nursing profession, its ethical values, and scientific foundations. Students also received a detailed orientation covering the educational process, clinical practices, academic expectations, and social opportunities.

Inspired by Florence Nightingale’s understanding of nursing based on science, discipline, and compassion, the faculty aims to provide students not only with academic knowledge, but also with a human centered perspective grounded in ethical values and public health awareness.
